It's spring cleaning time and we've scrubbed, polished and rearranged the showroom, the shop and our work area. Every nook and cranny has been emptied and sorted, making space for a wide variety of new inventory. With daily deliveries by UPS and FedEx, Carol and Martha are constantly reshuffling the shelves. Pretty soon Dan won't know where anything is!
We have loads of great values for you in the “Bargain Corner” of the showroom! There are special prices on ALL bundles ~~ coordinating rolls of 9, 10, or 12 fat quarters. Discounted fabric bolts, half yard cuts, books, patterns, zippers and tools are sure to entice you with deep savings.
MAINE SHOP HOP
The goodie bags are filled, the raffle tickets are prepared, the passports are here and we eagerly await our Shop Hoppers. It's a fun time to greet old friends and make new ones! Our challenge quilt was inspired by the eagle fabric each shop received and we know you'll find our Patriotic Shadow Stars quilt reflects the red, white and blue theme of this year's shop hop. What a fun way to get out after a long winter and see parts of Maine you've not explored. We know you'll be pleased with the wide variety of independent quilt shops participating this year.

QUILT INN RANGELEY RETREATS
With spring arrives the busiest time of year at the Quilt Inn. We eagerly await the return of our “regulars” and would love to have you join us too! Remember, any first time retreat group bookings receive an additional discount. It is always so inspiring to see what each retreat group accomplishes. From mystery projects and challenge quilts to charity quilts and personal projects, the creative energy and camaraderie is uplifting and fun. Please contact Carol to plan your group's first or return visit with us.
NEW FABRICS IN THE SHOP
Our “Rangeley Specialty Fabrics” shelf features fish fabrics, a fishing fly print, and several bolts of blueberry fabrics on both light and dark backgrounds. The berries are succulent and delicious looking, in the authentic blues and purples of our native Maine blueberries.
“Summer Breeze” by Moda will delight all blue and yellow lovers. Along with a gorgeous green and ivory, this line includes a Jacobean design as well as prints called rose arbor, large floral, and bouquet. Summer bags, quilts, and sundresses came to our minds as we arranged this large collection.
“Dragonfly Summer” by Holly Taylor for Moda showcases beautiful prints featuring dragonflies, meadow flowers, summer leaves and delicate paisley swirls. This collection in rich colors of plum, olive, and dark brown, complemented by light green and ivory, works well with other selections on our “Rangeley” fabric wall.
OUR FAVORITE BONNIE HUNTER QUOTE
Bonnie Hunter's latest book, Scraps and Shirttails II, has some fabulous quotes. We thought we'd share one of our favorites with you as we begin gathering scraps for Quilt Camp. Bonnie inspires her students to grab those ugly fabrics and cut them up for scrap quilts. She writes, “Remember, if it's still UGLY, you just didn't cut it SMALL ENOUGH!”
We look forward to seeing you soon ~~ either in the shop or online. Drop by anytime!
