Dear Quilting Friends,
Happy Spring! We are finally getting the look and feel of spring here in the
mountains ~ the birds are singing their spring songs, you can pretty much watch the snow melt and of course the driveway is a muddy mess. Snow is predicted for this week but we know April snow doesn’t last long, thank goodness! Our April hours are:
Tuesday thru Saturday, 10AM ~ 4PM
CLOSED Friday, April 13th & Saturday April 14th.
During our annual March break we traveled to Houlton ME where we received a warm welcome from the Friends and Needles Quilt Guild. We presented a Friday evening Trunk Show followed by a Saturday Workshop featuring Studio 180’s pattern, Signs of Autumn and our own pattern, Memory Lane. What a great group of gals! We headed home on Sunday am with clear blue skies overhead and many sightings of Mt Katahdin along the way. Just beautiful!
MQX Quilt Festival New England is next week ~ April 11th -14th at The Center of NH/Radisson Hotel in Manchester NH. Dan’s quilt “CERTIFIABLE” will be on display ~ this quilt has 1200 Flying Geese units, 1184 on the front and 16 on the label on the back. Crazy! I quilted geese in the border and no, I did not count them!
SPRING QUILT CAMP May 2nd ~ 6th
This is your last chance to sign up for our final Spring Quilt Camp to be held in Rangeley with instructor Michelle Renee Hiatt. Great instructor, beautiful Inn and plenty of time to quilt, relax and have fun. Click here for more info.

NEW FAMILY MEMBER
We have another new addition to our family. Our niece Kelsi and hubby Luke are now the proud parents of a daughter, Annelise Avis. She’s adorable, of course! And she has the same middle name (my mom's name) as her Great Aunt Carol (me) and my cousin Joline. (would Joline be Annie Avis' cousin, twice removed?)
Dan’s still producing more quilt tops than I can get quilted, see his latest here.
While we are not able to participate In the State of Maine Shop Hop this year, the shop is still open our regular hours (see above), we hope many of you will plan to stop by …..
Watch out for those frost heaves!
