I just finished up a “Girls Weekend” at our Quilt Inn Rangeley Retreat Center with my good friends Karon, Wendy and Doris from Country Creations in Jefferson Maine. We get together once a year for good food, lots of laughs and, of course, plenty of stitching! We all worked on our own projects ~ I started piecing Studio 180’s “Summer Solstice”. I love my fabric selection!
This quilt makes for an excellent one day workshop ~ after becoming proficient in Studio 180’s V-Block, Corner Beam and Wing Clipper tools and the completion of one block, you will be all ready to finish the project at home. Click here for more info on our Trunk Shows and Workshops.
WINTER BREAK The shop will be closed from Sunday, February 28 through Thursday, March 31 for our annual winter break. As usual, we have a busy month planned ~ shop organizing/cleaning, longarm work and a Studio 180 Certified Instructor Reunion in NC for Dan (I’m getting dropped off at our daughters in VA). We will re-open on Friday, April 1st, just in time for the State of Maine Quilt Shop Hop!
FALL QUILT CAMPS 2016 We are pleased to announce our 16th annual Fall Quilt Camps. We are thrilled that Instructors Jackie Kunkel and Michelle Renee Hiatt are returning to Rangeley. Jackie’s weekend is October 13 ~ 16 and Michelle’s weekend is Oct 20 ~ 23. Both weekends will be held at the Country Club Inn, reserved exclusively for Quilt Campers. We would love to have you join us!

SPRING QUILT CAMP 2016 We still have space available in our Spring Quilt Camp at the Rangeley Inn and Tavern in downtown Rangeley Maine. Instructors Michelle Renee Hiatt and Dan Perkins are a great teaching team and look forward to seeing you there.

WHAT’S NEW New patterns from Lazy Girl Designs:
Sweetpea Pods ~Sweetpeas hold your treasures like peas in a pod, and sit open for easy access. Uses Lazy Girl’s One-Zip technique: cut your zipper to pieces, sew one side in straight and flat, bend to create a loop, then use Joan’s easy trick to put the zipper pull back on to make this precious pod. For fun, swap zipper pulls and tape from the same manufacturer.
Fobio ~ Grab your favorite scraps, bright zippers, extra pulls, then go wild or mild and make a few or a slew! This lanyard-style key fob zips up to your wrist to secure. Clip to a pouch for an instant wristlet! Use Lazy Girl’s One-Zip technique to cut the zipper, sew one side of the zipper in straight and flat, bend to make loop, then use Joan’s trick to easily add one or more zipper pulls. Pattern includes 2 sets nickel key fob hardware size 1 1/4in.
Becca Bags ~ Handy bags for stow and go, stand open for easy access. Large Becca is pieced with a flange. Add easy grab tabs from leftover zipper bits. With Lazy Girl’s One-Zip technique, cut a zipper apart, take off the pull, then stitch one side of the zipper in straight and flat. To finish, bring the ends together and use Joan’s easy trick to put the zipper pull back on. For fun, swap zipper pulls and tape from the same manufacturer.
Hope your February includes plenty of stitchin’ time!
