Dear Quilting Friends,Mother Nature surprised us with a dazzling fall foliage display this year. Late by about two weeks, she did not disappoint ~ in fact, we think this was the most beautiful fall EVER!! Our quilt camp instructor Bonnie Hunter, was thrilled to arrive in Maine at peak foliage ~ we made the trek to Rangeley from the Portland Jetport via Route 17 to take full advantage of the stunning colors along the way.
QUILT CAMPSFall 201520 Quilt Campers from Virginia to Maine gathered at The Country Club Inn October 15th thru 18th for our 15th Annual Fall Quilt Weekend #1 with Bonnie Hunter. “Talkin’ Turkey” and “Split Nine Patch” were the project choices. Take a look at Bonnie’s blog for some great pictures of our weekend beginning here on October 14th. Keep clicking on "newer post" to see all of Bonnie's postings and pictures throughout the weekend.

NO PHOTOS PLEASE
Please note that we are no longer allowing photo's to be taken inside our shop. We have seen too many pictures of our quilts ~ many of our current show quilts ~ turn up on Facebook, Pinterest and other social media sites with no credit to us. Another issue (some, I hope many of you, might find this hard to believe) is pattern instructions are being taken out of the package and photographed. Folks, this is STEALING and unacceptable. Our ball game, our rules. Thank you for your understanding. WHAT’S NEWPatterns from Studio 180 Design:Smooth Sailing ~ Created using Studio 180 Design’s Diamond Rects® and Square2® (Square Squared) tools, you can be sure that when you piece your very own Storm at Sea project, it’ll be smooth sailing from start to finish!Refraction ~ Refraction is a mixture of the Diamond Rectangle units and squares, making the simple look trickyPattern from Dan & Carol Perkins:
Chasing Points ~ “Chasing Points” was created to utilize four Studio 180 Design Tools ~ Studio 180’s V-Block™, Corner Beam™, Tucker Trimmer I™ and Square2™. The design of the quilt allows for the left over pieces from the creation of the Corner Beam blocks to be used in the V-Block sashing units resulting in the color chosen flowing into the sashing from the blocks.
With Thanksgiving approaching (my favorite holiday) we would like to say ‘Thank you” to you, our friends and customers. And a special shout out to our Quilt Inn-ers and Quilt Campers ~ we would not be here without your support.
