August 2014 News from Threads Galore
Dear Quilting Friends,
We hope you are enjoying this great summer weather! We can hardly believe we’re approaching August already. Where is the summer going? It won’t be long before the temps start to cool and the leaves change for their fall exhibit of color.Speaking of change......our longtime friend and helper Martha, has brought her employment with Threads Galore to an end. We certainly enjoyed and appreciated the work she did while a member of our team. We wish her the best with her new plans. Dan and I will continue to “hold down the fort” with a few changes here as well. Our future plans include vending at shows and increased out of town Trunk Shows and Workshops. There will be times when we will CLOSE the shop to participate in these events. We also might need to have a day off together (I know, crazy!!). We will know our closed dates ahead of time (unless we have a last minute family emergency) and they will be posted on the homepage of our webpage and also on our Facebook page. If you are traveling from afar, a quick phone call will confirm that we are OPEN! Our regular hours continue, Tuesday ~ Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM. Thanks for your understanding.MAINE QUILTSDan’s “Lotsa Lemoynes” quilt is back from hanging at Maine Quilts 2014 in Augusta. It was awarded a first place blue ribbon and will be hanging in our showroom until it heads off to it’s next show. Stop by for a look!
