Threads Galore Quilting Services

Dear Quilting Friends,

Pumpkins and Mums are decorating front porches and the weather has turned cooler ~  a sure sign that October is near! The foliage will start changing at a faster rate during the next week to ten
days ~  at this point, we are still in the “very low” color change for our zone but changes can be seen daily.  Visit Maine's Official Fall Foliage website for the best time to visit our area.

Fall brings travelers to our area from all over the US and Europe.  So far this season we have had visitors from Illinois, Iowa, North Carolina, Michigan, Florida, Northern California, Mississippi, Utah, Wisconsin, Louisiana, all of the New England states ~ and from across the pond, Germany, France and the UK.

Our Fall Foliage hours are:

CLOSED on Saturday, October 1st for a Family Wedding.

OPEN EVERY DAY from Sunday, October 2nd thru Sunday October 9th from 10 AM ~ 4 PM
We will then resume our normal hours of Tuesday thru Saturday from 10 AM ~ 4 PM.

REMINDER ~ Please check our webpage or give us a call to confirm our hours and to make sure we ARE open if you plan to travel here from afar.  There are times when we do HAVE to close.  Do NOT rely on “Google” for your information.

We are gearing up for our 16th Annual Fall Quilt Camp at the Country Club Inn.  This quilt camp weekend with Instructor Michelle Renee Hiatt is sold out and we are looking forward to welcoming her and our quilt camp participants for a weekend of stitching fun!  LIKE us on Facebook for Quilt Camp postings and pictures!

We have a steady stream of Quilt Inn-ers enjoying our Inn right into November.  It is so inspiring to visit and see all the fabulous quilts, both finished and in progress, spread over the design walls.  We are accepting bookings for 2017.  View the calendar of available dates here and give us a call to book your quilting week(end).

Isadora  ~ this cream, tan and blue collection from Rosemarie Lavin Designs features a large floral pattern supported by several simple textured prints.  These fabrics would make a lovely Rangeley Star Table Runner!

Dan has been very busy stitching away down in the studio.  He has recently pieced Michelle Hiatt’s newest design “Jenn’s Journey” and is now working on a quilt of his own design.  Sneak peak below ~ don’t think it has a name yet!  I spent some much needed stitching therapy time sitting at my machine working on Studio 180’s pattern “Sugar and Spice”.  My version is made of blue and green batiks.  The top is finished and now added to the “to be quilted” pile.  The pile has not gotten any smaller and I do NOT want to count the number waiting in the que.  Time to get busy!

Meet Farley, our new Granddog!  He’s a yellow lab and lives in Readfield with his humans ~ Vanessa, Lucas, Kailey and Jakob.  As Jakob says ~ “him cute as heck.”

We hope to see you soon as you are out and about enjoying the colors of fall….
