Dear quilting friends,
We will be closed Sunday, March 3rd through Monday, March 25th for our winter break.
We'll reopen on Tuesday, March 26th at 10 AM.
Carol and Dan recently enjoyed some time away from daily life here, reconnected with Deb Tucker and friends, and returned even more in love with Deb’s innovative piecing techniques. Both returned with new ideas and inspiration and the good news that Deb is working on new patterns, rulers, and technique sheets ~ many of which will be available at Spring Quilt Market.
“Cabin Fever Reliever ~ a mini Quilt Camp”, held at our Quilt Inn Rangeley Retreat Center began two days after Carol and Dan's return and was a terrific weekend. It was great fun welcoming quilters from Boston, Portland, Jackman, Kingfield, Bemis, and Quimby Pond. The campers loved working with the V Block Trimmer and celebrated their unique personal styles with wonderful fabric selections. Uninterrupted quilting time, delicious food, and warm friendships make quilt retreats great fun!
STATE OF MAINE SHOP HOP
The month of April is traditionally a time when quilters get out and enjoy touring around Maine, visiting the quilt shops participating in the Shop Hop. This year, with 37 shops, there is something for everyone. We are busily creating our challenge quilt and stitching up some smaller projects for you to enjoy, all in the shop hop theme of black and white ~ with a pop of color. We love the fabrics!! Threads Galore will be open 7 days a week during the month of April and we look forward to seeing many of you then.

OPEN STUDIO DAYS
Monday, April 1st and Saturday, May 11th are our spring open studio dates. Bring your own project and join us for a day of stitching in the comfortable studio of the Quilt Inn. As always, show & tell is a special lunchtime feature.
Reservations and deposits are being received for our Fall Quilt Camp with Joan Ford and for Quilt Camp “With A Twist”, both held in October at the cozy and comfortable Country Club Inn. We encourage you to make your plans soon to guarantee your place in the weekend of your choice, as we are already over half booked for the Joan Ford weekend. We've enjoyed talking with so many of you as you call to make your Fall plans.
As winter transitions to spring, may we all begin to enjoy more time outdoors!
